MFI Open Source Project
Join Us in Alleviating Global Poverty
Worldwide, there have been many examples of businesses attempting to give back through Microfinance or Micro Insurance schemes. Even though these schemes can often work to reduce poverty, results aren’t always consistent. Risk management professionals in banks face the same credit risk, liquidity risk, and fraud risk as those in Microfinance Companies. These similarities allow bankers to join the fight and lend a hand in these efforts.
BankersLab® has worked to build a capacity for volunteer efforts to offer technical assistance, mentoring, and training through our Open Source Initiative. Even though there are many great resources available, our goal is to fill the gaps and provide access to all resources in one convenient place.
For those with an interest in joining our volunteer efforts to provide training, mentoring, or technical assistance materials to MFIs or MIs, you may register in our Open Source Initiative. Please follow the link below to join our fight against global poverty.
For those with an interest in helping from a remote location, in a way that is convenient for you, there are still opportunities. We need assistance with reviewing and revising training materials, web development support, and researching existing resources. Please join the Open Source Initiative!
